Who We Are

Leader Success was founded in 2012 by Katy Sharon after 15 years as an internal leadership development and talent management leader. The company has grown to include a core and extended team of learning professionals, facilitators, and executive coaches. Leader Success helps leaders build self-awareness, develop and deepen their skills, and understand what will propel them forward or get in their way.

Meet the Team

  • Katy Santen Sharon, President

    Katy Santen Sharon, President

    Katy founded Leader Success in 2012 and has a growing team of global facilitators, instructional designers and coaches. She has an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley Haas and a BA from Duke University. Katy is a certified executive coach, expert facilitator, and learning program designer. She is a Linked In Learning instructor, author of over 15 Leader Success courses and books, ATD contributor, and public speaker.

  • Susan Zemanek, Program Director

    Susan Zemanek, Program Director

    Susan has over 25 years of experience in program and project management and leads all aspects of client engagement and support. From project management, implementation of Leader Success programs, assessment administration, program scheduling and logistics, she focuses on making the client experience seamless. She has a BA from Salem State College.

  • Ford Hatamiya, Lead Facilitator

    Ford Hatamiya, Lead Facilitator

    Ford Hatamiya leads the global Leader Success Facilitation Team. He has over 25 years of experience facilitating, coaching, and consulting in the areas of leadership, employee, and team development. Ford has a BA and Master’s Degree from the University of California, Berkeley and was a Postdoctoral Humanities Fellow. His areas of study included Economics, African American Studies, and Ethnic Studies.

Leader Success is an authorized partner of DiSC® and The Five Behaviors®

Individual and team assessments drive open discussion, foster connection, and enable action planning with research-based, data-driven tools. The most common assessments we use in executive team sessions are the DiSC Work Style Assessment and The Five Behaviors of a Team Assessment.  Other assessments specific to managing conflict, communication, and managing change are also available. 

Thought Leadership

Talent Management LinkedIn Learning Course

Our founder, Katy Sharon, developed a LinkedIn Learning course on talent management. This course has over 200,000 learners and is a required course in several profession certification programs and continuing education units including the Society for Human Resources Management, HR Certification Institute (HRCI), and the Project Management Institute.
